The situation in Aleppo has turned to the worse in the past few days. The Syrian Armenian Relief Fund received direct information from Aleppo about the continuing bombardments on the city. The Armenian populated area of Nor Keugh has experienced barbaric bombardments from the Turkish supported armed groups. Explosives, mortar shell, missiles, barrel bombs and gas canisters continue to fall on civilian areas.
Damage in Nor Kuegh is catastrophic. This area, built by the sweat and blood of Armenians, is being ruined in a rapid pace and the cost to life and property is unimaginable.
Nor Keugh is declared a Disaster Zone. The neighborhood, that once was densely populated by Armenians, where schools, churches, community centers, community-owned residences and shops thrived, is now in ruins. Nor Keugh, that was full of vibrant life, is now almost deserted. To make matters worse, and due to the shut down of water flow in the Euphrates River by Turkey, the danger of total cut off of water is looming.
Our Armenian brothers and sisters in Nor Keugh feel abandoned and lonely.
Our fellow Armenians, what is going on in Aleppo is outrageous. The horrors of this war must come to an end. Սուրիոյ Հայութեան Զօրակցութեան Միացեալ Մարմինը ցասումով կ’արձագանգէ Հալէպի հայաբնակ թաղամասերու վրայ վերջին օրերու արմատական ահաբեկչական թրքամէտ խմբաւորումներու գազանային յարձակումները եւ կործանարար հրթիռներու եւ հրանսանդներու շարունակուող տարափը:
Հայու բազուկով եւ քրտինքով կառուցուած եւ մեծամասնաբար հայութեամբ բնակուած Նոր Գիւղի եւ հարեւան այլ շրջաններու մէջ ինկած հրթիռներու պատճառած մարդկային, նիւթական եւ կալուածային վնասները սարսափելի են:
Հալէպի Նոր Գիւղի շրջանը յայտարարուած է ԱՂԷՏԵԱԼ ԳՕՏԻ: Երբեմնի հայահոծ Նոր Գիւղը՝ իր դպրոցներով, եկեղեցիներով, ազգային կեդրոններով, ազգապատկան բնակարանային շէնքերով, խանութներով եւ իր կենսունակ բնակչութեամբ ամայացած եւ աւերակ է: Իրավիճակը աւելի վատթարացած է Թուրքիոյ կողմէ Եփրատ գետի հոսքի կասեցումով որ բոլորովին առանց ջուրի մնալու վտանգ ստեղծած է:
Այս խիստ ողբալի դրութեան մէջ գտնուող Հալէպահայ մեր ժողովուրդի զաւակները կը զգան անտէր եւ առանձին:
Հայրենակիցներ, պատերազմի այս սարսափելի արհաւիրքը պէտք է վերջ գտնէ: Մինչ այդ, անհրաժեշտ է որ համազգային պարտաւորութեամբ եւ կամքով շարունակենք ՕԳՆՈՒԹԵԱՆ ձեռք երկարել եւ մեր նիւթաբարոյական օժանդակութիւնը անյապաղ փոխանցել Սուրիահայութեան:
