Glendale, CA - The Syrian Armenian Relief Fund (SARF) was established in 2012 due to dire circumstances, to extend a helping hand to our compatriots living in the civil war waging in Syria. SARF continues its assistance with the initial enthusiasm. There is no peace yet in sight, and the war is still waging on in the country that provided a safe haven to our ancestors during the Genocide, and now the Armenian community is being dispersed again, with an unknown future. Titizian and Kendirjian Move Into SARF Leadership Roles Reception Honors Khanjian

Glendale, CA - The Syrian Armenian Relief Fund (SARF) Executive Committee elected new officers: John Titizian was elected Chairman and Raffi Kendirjian was elected Vice-Chairman. Zaven Khanjian, the outgoing Chairman of the Executive Committee, presided over his last Executive Committee meeting on August 30, 2014, when new officers were elected.  Since its inception in August 2012, in response to deteriorating living conditions of Armenians in Syria, SARF, under the leadership of Khanjian, raised and transferred to Syria, more than $1 Million for use in humanitarian relief and to meet immediate needs of Syrian Armenians.
